When I joined the Brussels Airlines Belgian Icon competition, I never imagined a quick 10-minute sketch would take me so far. The idea came naturally, I wanted to use Marsupilami, a character I’ve loved since I was a kid, as the centerpiece. The way he hops from place to place felt perfect for representing how airplanes connect us to the world.
Out of over 950 entries, I was shocked and proud to place 6th. It’s amazing to see how something created so quickly, with a lot of heart, can resonate with others. This project reminded me of the power of creativity, even in the simplest forms.
